If you’re in Europe, it’s not that easy to find a similar product to the Kindle Fire, a tablet that has no equal if you’re considering value for money. Since we still have ‘to wait’ a little (still no official announcement yet), we take advantage of the review for the ViewSonic ViewPad 7E from DeviceGuru for a look at another 7-inch tablet, the less noble but still very economical model.
ViewSonic is an Asian brand that produces high quality monitors. They recently entered the market for tablets and e-readers. The ViewPad 7E features a single-core ARM processor that clocks in at 1.8GHz, 512MB of DDR2 memory and 4GB of storage, expandable to 32GB via a microSD card. The operating system is the old Android 2.3 Gingerbread (as Fire).
The review says that overall, things are quite positive for the ViewPad 7e. In line with the very attractive price that is offered, which should cost around 160 Euro, we think it’s not just postive. We think it’s great. For the full review, we refer to the pages of DeviceGuru.
