Nikon D4 DSLR: Specs Include 16.2 MP Sensor & 204,000 ISO

Nikon’s D3S successor is in the works. The new DSLR has been Christened Nikon D4 and while there’s no news exactly when it’s coming out (we do know something regarding prices), we found out that it now sports a 16.2 megapixel sensor, 204,800 ISO (at Hi-4), and of course, it now shoots video at 1080p.

On top of these all, it has a 91k-pixel RGB 3D Color Matrix Meter III, which improves the color measurement by a long shot. On the back is a 921K colors 3.2-inch LCD with 170 degree viewing angle and sensor for the ambient brightness. It also comes with an HDMI port and two commercials for 7-UDMA CF card formats and XQD with a write speed of 125Mbps.

Add to that a tremendous speed: 0.012 seconds from power off state until the first photo. And it creates them in full resolution with autofocus and exposure metering 10 in the second. And there’s the 51-AF system that gives the final touches.

Nikon D4 will debut in the US and it’s going to cost some $6,0000.
